Third Annual Invisalign® Summit Helps Doctors 'Get More from Invisalign'
The Summit is Align's premiere clinical education event. Each year, the company invites top Invisalign practices from around the world to share treatment experiences at this three day conference. Invisalign experts present finished cases and research results, clinical techniques and best practices, and review new treatment tools and educational resources from Align.
This year's conference theme, "Getting More from Invisalign," was reflected in lectures and workshops designed to help doctors and staff expand the clinical and financial success they enjoy with Invisalign. Expert Invisalign doctors shared examples and tips from a broad range of cases, such as overjet, overbite and vertical dimension, and expansion versus extraction cases. Other sessions, including the full-day clinical and administrative staff program, demonstrated hands-on clinical techniques and provided pricing and practice development strategies.
"We had more Invisalign doctors and more clinical sessions at this year's Summit than ever before," said Thomas M. Prescott, president and CEO of Align. "The growth and popularity of the Summit reflects the value of our clinical education programs, as well as the continued adoption and use of Invisalign in the industry."
This year's conference built on previous Summits by introducing several new segments, including a half-day Invisalign Provider Workshop for international attendees and the Invisalign Vendor Pavilion for products and services that complement Invisalign treatment.
About Align Technology, Inc.
Align Technology designs, manufactures and markets Invisalign, a proprietary method for treating malocclusion, or the misalignment of teeth. Invisalign corrects malocclusion using a series of clear, nearly invisible, removable appliances that gently move teeth to a desired final position. Because it does not rely on the use of metal or ceramic brackets and wires, Invisalign significantly reduces the aesthetic and other limitations associated with braces. Invisalign is appropriate for treating adults and older teens. Align Technology was founded in March 1997 and received FDA clearance to market Invisalign in 1998.
