Align Technology Hosts First Invisalign® Summit for General Practitioners

SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 7, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Align Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALGN), the inventor of Invisalign(R), a proprietary method of straightening teeth without wires and brackets, recently hosted the first-ever Invisalign Summit for General Practitioners in Las Vegas. More than 1,000 doctors, hygienists, and other dental team members from top Invisalign practices attended the sold-out conference May 6th - 8th at The Venetian Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Since 2001, the Invisalign Summit has been Align's premiere clinical education and motivation event for top orthodontist customers and their staff. The May 2005 event marked the first time a corresponding Summit program has been held exclusively for general dental practices. The conference theme, "Science and Art in Harmony," was reflected in clinical sessions, company presentations and program entertainment designed to help doctors and their staffs combine their aesthetic and restorative goals with the orthodontic benefits of Invisalign treatment. Invisalign experts shared treatment results and tips from a broad range of cases in clinical sessions that included Invisalign Treatment Planning, Principles of Interproximal Reduction, Critical ClinCheck(R) Evaluation, among others. Practice development sessions were designed to provide practical tools for local marketing campaigns and patient financing.

The overall goals of the Invisalign Summit program are to educate, motivate and show appreciation for Align's most enthusiastic and experienced customers. Attendee comments from an anonymous, post-conference survey included:

"This was by far the most impressive dental event I have ever attended.
Everything was of the highest quality. It made me proud to be associated
with Invisalign. I will use attendance by my entire staff as a production
     incentive."

"The Summit was great... I have never been to such an event. The whole
office wants to come next year. We have set a goal of 10 starts a month,
then we will be able to attend. We are ready to start advertising and
     taking impressions! "

"Best dental conference I have ever attended in 20 years of dentistry!"

Each year, Align invites top Invisalign practices from around the world to share treatment experiences at the three-day Summit in Las Vegas. Company executives, practice management consultants, and top Invisalign doctors present finished cases and research results, clinical techniques and best practices, and review new treatment tools and educational resources from Align.

About Align Technology, Inc.

Align Technology designs, manufactures and markets Invisalign, a proprietary method for treating malocclusion, or the misalignment of teeth. Invisalign corrects malocclusion using a series of clear, nearly invisible, removable appliances that gently move teeth to a desired final position. Because it does not rely on the use of metal or ceramic brackets and wires, Invisalign significantly reduces the aesthetic and other limitations associated with braces. Invisalign is appropriate for treating adults and older teens. Align Technology was founded in March 1997 and received FDA clearance to market Invisalign in 1998.
