Online Certification Program Endorsed by New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry, Provides Modular Training for Align’s End-to-End Digital Workflow Including iTero Scanning Technology
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN) announced today that it launched its Orthodontic Aligner Fellowship Certificate Program, in collaboration with DentalXP, a global dental education provider on August 6, 2018. The training program will provide general practitioner dentists with professional education to help integrate Invisalign clear aligner therapy and iTero intraoral scanning more seamlessly into their comprehensive patient care. The aligner fellowship program includes Invisalign training that participants will need to complete if they are not already an Invisalign trained doctor. The program will consist of approximately 30 hours of training provided by experts in the field and hosted on the DentalXP website. The program is divided into 10 separate lesson plans, with content designed to educate clinicians on Align’s end-to-end digital workflow based on the Invisalign clear aligner system and iTero intraoral scanning technology, as well as strategies for integrating this workflow into practices. The workflow includes of 3D software and treatment planning along with digital visualization and diagnostic solutions. The online curriculum is intended to allow general practitioners to maintain their day-to-day practice while fulfilling the requirements of the program at their convenience.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive Continuing Education credits and an official Certificate of Completion endorsed by the NYU College of Dentistry. This accreditation acknowledges completion of the program and the participant’s training in how to integrate Invisalign clear aligner therapy and iTero intraoral scanning into comprehensive patient care and their daily practice.
