Biography
Srini Kaza
Srini Kaza serves as Executive Vice President, Research & Development, responsible for leading the global product R&D group. He joined the company in April 1999, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Product Research & Development, with focus areas such as Biomechanics, Advanced Materials, 3D Printing, 3D Computational Geometry, AI, Clinical Affairs, Advanced Simulation and Design, and emerging technologies and processes.
Mr. Kaza has made significant contributions over the years in developing several 3D printing technologies, scanning processes, innovative materials, 3D software and several other technologies during his tenure at Align.
Under his supervision, the R&D group has created several new products and underlying technologies that enable Invisalign product performance improvements. His team has most recently developed the Invisalign Palatal Expander product. In addition, his team created the patented SmartTrack® material, specially engineered for the Invisalign system, and continues to work on future advancements. His team also conducts multiple clinical studies that aim to create better understanding of Invisalign product performance and manages the University Research Programs, intended to create close collaborations with universities worldwide to help advance the science in the dental field. Mr. Kaza holds an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah and an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School of Business.
