Align Technology, Inc. Announces Initial Public Offering of Common Stock

Align Technology, Inc. Announces Initial Public Offering of Common Stock SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 25 -- Align Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALGN ) today announced that its initial public offering of 10,000,000 shares of common stock has been priced at $13.00 per share. All of the shares are being offered by the company. The shares will begin trading on the NASDAQ National Market under the ticker symbol ALGN on January 26, 2001. The shares are being offered by an underwriting group managed by Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown and co-managed by Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., JP Morgan and Robertson Stephens. In addition, the company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to 1,500,000 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments.

Align Technology designs, manufactures and markets the Invisalign® System, a proprietary new method for treating malocclusion, or the misalignment of teeth. The Invisalign System corrects malocclusion using a series of clear, nearly invisible, removable appliances that gently move teeth to a desired final position. Because it does not rely on the use of metal or ceramic brackets and wires, the Invisalign System significantly reduces the aesthetic and other limitations associated with braces.

Copies of the prospectus relating to the offering may be obtained from Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, One South Street, Baltimore, MD, 21202, 410-727-1700.
